Adventures With Ruby

Today is June 29, but since I have limited internet, days have passed since my last post.

We camped at Lane County's Richardson State Park outside of Eugene, Oregon. Glenn has family (second and third cousins ) that he had never met except through Facebook, so we met a few of them for dinner. Glenn's granddad had a lot of brothers.  We had a nice visit. Thanks to Edie for arranging everything.

Yesterday we headed back to the coast of Oregon to travel the 101. Oregon is so beautiful.

We found a campsite early because I wanted to see the Sea Lions Caves.

We could see the Heceta Lighthouse from the caves but the fog had rolled in. It made an interesting photo. I somehow captured the lightbeam and a sea gull through the foggy air.

Actually, the Lighthouse is visible at different turnouts along the highway. It is a beautiful old lighthouse.

This was taken from the front truck windshield.

The lighthouse is closed for repair but you can hike up to the grounds. We didn't because it was getting late and Brindle had been left back at camp.

Today we drove on up to Newport without towing Ruby. We wanted to see more of the coast line and make a few stops along the way. The coast of Oregon is breathtaking. Pictures just does not capture the beauty.
