Journey Church, Lowell, In.

The last time I posted was August 2.  Time marches on and I can't believe it is now August 15. A lot of progress has happened here at the MAPS project. The building is almost ready for the sheetrock to be hung.

Doors and windows were installed last week.

   Installing window.

   Door and Windows looking good.

The plumbers and electricians work is evident throughout the building.

We were happy to have Jack and Georgie Bowers join us for a few weeks. And Brad and Mandy arrived this last week. Brad helped earlier in the project preparing our RV sites. We were happy to see them back.

One weekend (Saturday) a few of us visited the "Windy City".  I love visiting Chicago and we had a full fun day.

We picked up our day pass to ride the Big Bus at the Hard Rock Cafe. The guitars were suspended from the ceiling of the entrance.

Here we are on the Big Bus. Our guide was fun and informative.

In our tour package deal, we had a boat ride through the city.

Of course, we had to visit the Cloud Gate sculpture affectionately know as "The Bean".

We also went to the 360 degrees view at the John Hancock building.  Amazing views of the city.

    Navy Pier

What would a visit be if we didn't have deep dish pizza. We completed the day at Giordano's and had their famous stuffed pizza.

Back at our RV community, we were visited by some geese. They must have had a traveling break at our lake. Yes. It is almost time to fly south.

Journey Church, Lowell, IN

Several weeks have passed since my last blog and wow, what a transformation on the building.

The company that put up the trusses, outside walls and roof finished this past Monday. It's really looking good.

Our guys have been really working hard too; putting up the inside walls, electrical, plumbing and painting.

One of the restrooms. The space on top is for the air conditioning/heating unit and storage.

  Kitchen area.

 Plumbing is coming right along.

  Allan is our plumber.

A young man from the church is a great helper.

Les and Jim working on the electrical.

Al, Glenn and I think Travis is on the lift. working on a door frame.

Arlen is spraying the primer on the ceiling. Careful Arlen....don't bump your head!!

 Yes Al, it is HOT.

We have fun times too. This past week we celebrated Jan's birthday with a Hawaiian theme.

We TP'd their rig and chairs. All in good fun.

We also had a fun time at the Corn Festival.

Al and Joyce's grand children live nearby and we spent some time with them. Al won a few prizes for them.

That banana was taller than Caden.

  Cameron choose a guitar.

Glenn was warned not to break it...
