Alaskan Adventure - June 28, 2014 - Central Mission Assembly of God Church

Today, Saturday, we took a trip to Denali National Park by Alaska Railroad.

Ginger and I at the ticket office.

    All aboard!

It was a fun trip and we saw some beautiful sights even though the pictures through the window was not the greatest.

   Trappers house. Used between 1920-1940.

   Along the Nenana River.

Arriving into the Denali National Park.

We did see a few moose along the way but no pictures.

However, I did capture a couple of pictures of some wildlife living in the park.

We took a free shuttle as far as Savage River.  As far as we can go on the free shuttle.

Whatcha lookin' at?    At the Savage River turnaround point.  We did see Elk down along the river.

They were watching people climbing on this huge rock formation.

We saw some cute wild flowers in the park.

We only had a few hours in the park before meeting the 4:00 pm train back to Fairbanks but I had a nice time and it was a chance for Glenn to rest his bad knee.

    Waiting for the return trip.

   Here she comes!

Work continued back at the church.  We both had a sunny day from the rainy days for a change.
