Week 18 - March 30 - Trinity Church

It is Monday morning and I am just now sitting down to write the blog of this past weeks happenings.  Our MAPS RV Volunteers group is dwindling.  Bill and Eddie and Arlen and Ginger left this past week and Don and Charlotte leaves this morning.  That will leave just five men and four ladies.  It is bitter sweet to see our friends depart but it also means the job is almost finished.

Much has been accomplished.  I was looking back over the blog post and the transformation of the building project is amazing.  This was a tremendous job, but the men are very skilled in what they do and with God's help.....well, the only word I can say is AMAZING.

TAKE A LOOK....from this

......to this....

View to the entrance doors. North doors.

Hall to the right of the entrance doors.  The wall is now painted.

Hallway to the left of the entrance doors.

On a Sunday morning.

Seating area.

South door area.

These pictures do not do the space justice. The new lobby area is now large enough for several seating areas.  People are able to linger and visit instead of being hurried out for the next service to begin.  There are five services each Sunday.

This is only a small portion of the work, and work continues.

Georgie and Joyce A are painting.

Mike had an apprentice (Glenn) this past week.

Children's area.

Floors in the children's area being sanded.

Of course there was much more work in progress that I didn't capture in photos.

But now to the fun stuff...

We love our breaktime.  On Good Friday we had a pretty table of goodies.

Joyce is so talented. She decorated the cake.  Easter Basket Cake.

   Another of Joyce's creations.

Saturday we had breakfast on the beach.  Fort Lauderdale.

The guys decided to try out the Segways.

We have a video of them racing but I can't attach it here in blogger.  I'll have to work on that.

The ladies strolled the shops at the beach.

It was a beautiful sunny day.

EASTER SUNDAY

Sunday morning Kids Zone.

Still a work in progress but the children's workers make the best of it.

Already using the new classroom space even though it is not finished.

This is the third service of the day.  In the first and second service the chairs are filled with children, first thru fith grades, this is still around 100 kids not counting the smaller children.

This is what it's all about.  Reaching and teaching family's of the community.
