Segway Fun

Today for the ladies Tuesday outing, we were brave souls to hop on a Segway.

Here we are signing our life away on the forms that we take complete responsibility and we will not sue.

After all the proper papers were signed and our fee paid, we were instructed to watch a video on how to operate the Segway.

After a little practice inside, Bruno took us outside to try our new skill.

Lean forward to go and straighten arms and "butt out" to stop. Bruno's words

After our, Go, Stop, and Turn practice, Bruno then led us on our tour.
We formed a single line and traveled across a busy street to a beautiful state park.

I think we were all a little apprehensive to cross a busy street.

After entering the park, our first stop was by a beautiful Banyan tree.

Bruno took our pictures and did not charge extra. He was really a good tour guide.

Does anyone of our group remember what these bushes are?  Oh well, a nice backdrop for a pic.

We traveled along the park roads and then down nice tree and foliage lined trails.

This part of the trail was a little tricky. Stay to the right!!

We stopped by the Intercoastal Waterway for a much needed break.

The structure in the background on the right of this pic is Joe Namath's house.

It is a little tricky getting off. I should have waited for help but since I had gotten off earlier by myself, I thought I could manage it. NOT. Glad no one got a pic of that!!  Lesson learned?  Don't get off on an incline no matter how slight it is.

We stopped just in time to see a Manatee and her babies swimming by.

On our way back, we stopped for one last group picture.

A nice camp site fire pit but only for Park Rangers and Boy Scouts.

We had fun day!!  But, boy, were we tired!!
