Fifth Week - South Campus, Trinity Church, Miami Gardens

This week has been a busy but fun filled week.  The men are working hard and accomplishing much.

Glenn and Jack finished all the plumbing for the showers, bathrooms, washing machine hookups, kitchen and put in the hot water heater.  Everything tested great with no leaks.  For amateurs, they did great.

Hot water heater installed.

They also worked on installing the showers.

Jack working on the shower bases.

Glenn putting showers together.

More drywall was installed and mudded.

I even got to mudd some.
Filling in nail holes.

Ron arrived this week from Alaska.   Yea for more electrical men.

The women painted prime on the doors and trim.
Joyce and Mary.

Georgie.  We finished the doors and the next day we "played".

Ladies shopping trip and lunch.

Our Thursday date night was enjoyed by all.

Olive Garden (borrowed picture from Dodie).

We celebrated a belated birthday for Bill.

We rounded out the week with a cookout for the students who will enjoy the new dorms.

Hamburgers and Hot Dogs were on the menu with wonderful side dishes.

Cobblers for dessert.  Blueberry and peach.  Yum yum.

Our table spread....and....

...some of our guest.  These young people are wonderful!

Come and get it!  Enjoy!

Circle of friends..

Is this the handicap section?  Just kidding.

Morgan from Canada helped us "old folks" with our computers.

More students joined us later in the evening.

The young people roasted marshmellows and enjoyed the fire.

It was a great evening!!

But wait! ...fun continues....

On Saturday some of us enjoyed the airboat at Everglades Holiday Park.

Our airboat awaits.

Getting aboard.

Ready for picture taking.

We saw Bubba.

Beautiful birds.

After our boat ride, we saw a short show presented by the Gator Boys.

And gals.  She actually did the show by getting on the gators back.

Baby gator.

Whew.  That was a long blog. Told ya it was a busy but fun filled week.

Beautiful Florida.  God's handiwork.

Psalms 19:1   The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.

  1. I thought I would leave a comment instead of just foot printing in and then leaving! The alligator pictures are just creepy! The dutch oven dinner looks fantastic. And, your girls lunch date looks sassy! Wish I could have be there too, particularly to see you paint! ;) Glad you are having fun, Mom!
