Adventures With Ruby Season 2

it's been awhile since I blogged so I guess today is the day. We actually left Mauriceville on July 15. Glenn's birthday. We still had not planned on which direction to go but we headed up to Waco then planned to go to Oklahoma; that way we could either go towards the Rockies or the Smokeys. 

I so much wanted to see my friend near Waco but since the Covid19 virus, I didn't want to put her in an uncomfortable situation to decline a visit. Maybe next time. 

We stayed at Belton Lake at a Corps of Engineers Park, Cedar Ridge.  it was nice. The deer came up right behind our camper in a big open field. 

I did make a visit to Magnolia Market at the Silos. A little over priced but still nice to visit. We also ate at Magnolia Table. it was enjoyable. 

We stayed two nights and then moved over to Waco Lake at Reynolds Creek Campground. Because it was the weekend , we could only get a site at the equestrian area. It was nice also and got to see some horses. 

We visited the Dr Pepper museum. It was an interesting visit. 

We also got to meet Jimmy Don. Such a nice man. Glenn got one of his art pieces, the Army emblem. Wish I had gotten a picture of Jimmy Don but in talking with him, I totally forgot. 

Today, the 19th is a travel day. We are heading to Johnson Creek on Lake of the Pines near the Ok,TX border. I guess we will head east next.
