Victory Assembly of God, Vacherie, LA

Today marks the first week of work here at Vacherie, LA, Victory A/G.

Several weeks ago a man drove through the church at a high rate of speed.  They say his vehicle jumped a ditch and ended half way into the sanctuary.

This is the road in front of the church that he was speeding down towards the church.

The blue tarp is where he drove through.  Miraculously he was not hurt and no one was in the building at the time of the incident.

This weeks progress....

Reinforce the wall.

Still a work in progress, but has come a long way.

The MAPS Team are here to not only repair the gapping hole, but doing a needed update of the building.

This wall is coming down to open up the vestibule and adding a welcome center.

Yea for our electrician and his beautiful helper.

The sanctuary is also getting an update.

John and Arlen are doing the tile work. This is an entrance way and hallway.  These guys amaze me. Remember, we are all retired volunteers.

Here are a few more pics of this weeks work.
