Journey Church, Lowell, IN - 9/3/16

September is here already and some of our MAPS friends have left and some are getting ready to leave. We will be here through the month.  We unfortunately won't see the building to completion on this trip but it won't be too long before services in the new structure can begin.

Here are a few pictures of the building and the progress up to today.

Last Sunday the congregation was given the opportunity to view the building. This room is the vestibule.

Air conditioning ducts.

One of the restrooms.

This room is ready for drywall.

The previous pictures are from the past couple of weeks. Here are a few pictures taken today.

Intricate plumbing and electrical.

LED lights for the parking lot.

City putting in the sewer hookups.

Obviously there is a lot of work yet to be done, but we have come a long way from a field of dirt and concrete.

We have experienced different weather conditions; from cool days, to hot days, and floods.

Our gathering place almost flooded.

We have had wonderful dinners together.

This past Friday the group celebrated my birthday. Joyce is so creative.  She delivered a proclamation to make me Princess for the day; complete with a throne, tiara, slippers and of course a wand.   Good friends and good food, let the party begin.

Hi Barb. So glad some local friends visit.

Three couples from our group are leaving soon and we will miss them. We will pray the Lord's blessing and protection on them.

Until we meet again.... We are "Building Churches, Changing Lives".
