Gaithering in Miami 2014 - MAPS RV Project

We arrived the day after Thanksgiving.  Al and Joyce, and Dennis and Bonnie were here when we arrived.  There are to be around 27 of us.  A large group but this us a large project.

After we got our 5th wheel all hooked up, we started setting up our gathering space.

We put up 5 shelters to accommodate our group.

  Of course we had to try it out with our first lunch. There were only six of us, Al and Joyce, Dennis and Bonnie, and Glenn and I.  Thank you Joyce and Al for the BLT sandwiches!

The men had cleared some brush and had a burn pile going.

So we thought we would have loaded baked potatoes (great idea Bonnie) and bake them in the coals.  Yummy.  By dinner time the Vogel's had joined us.  After they got their rig in and set up we were ready for some food and fellowship. 

I'm writing this Sunday evening and we have added another Mapper, Mike Allen.  Joyce will arrive after Christmas.   Our group is growing day by day and one or two more couples are expected by Tuesday.  Yea. 

Bright and early tomorrow morning the work begins.
