Convention is the time we meet to be re-engerized, hear of the projects completed and also the new projects needing construction workers. Prayerfully we sign up for projects of where we would like to serve.
We really had a fun week seeing our other MAPS friends and meeting new ones. I don't know the exact number but I would estimate over 100 rigs. This is just a few rigs on our row.
The morning and evening speakers were wonderfully anointed ministers.
The Assemblies of God Assistant General Superintendent, Rev. Alton Garrison, preached the last two nights. He is an amazing piano player as well as singer and preacher.
We have a lot of fun too. The ladies have a gathering time with Kay Bell. She always has a nice place set up for just us ladies and prepares baskets to be given out on a drawing. This year I won a beautiful basket.
During the day, we have elective classes we can attend of our choice.
I attended a health class and a class on electrical as pertaining to our rig.
One evening we had a 50s night. What fun!! The evening will be remembered for a long time. We laughed and laughed at all the funny "get-ups".
The Harvesters from Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) provided the music for the evening followed by an ice creme social.
It was a wonderful convention and fun time with folks from all over the country with one goal, "Building Churches, Changing Lives".
