Alaskan Adventure - July 9, 2014 -Central Mission Assembly of God Church

The anticipated trusses were not delivered today, but we know they have arrived from Oregon and will be delivered to the building site tomorrow.

Still there was worked to be done.

Because of the extreme cold during the winter, every crack needs to be caulked.  Here Arlen is caulking and Joyce is clearing the way of debris.

Electrical outlets being installed.  We met Ron in Miami but he is from Fairbanks and a mapper too.  US MAPS RV.  He leaves his RV in the lower forty eight to use during the winter.

    Ron Brown

Glenn has been appointed "Plumber".  Oh my!! But someone has to do it since there are a total of 5 bathrooms and a kitchen. (I think that is correct.  If not, I will post a correction)

Don't know what they are doin' here, but it looks intense. Haha.
Hey, Jimmy Bowen from Georgia, if you see my blog, MAPS needs plumbers.

Measuring for insulation.

Cutting insulation.

There is a lot to be done to keep the cold north weather out.

Jesse working hard too.  Reinforcement blocks I think.

Your busted Al and Joyce!!

We caught these two still working after hours.

Keeping the work space as clear of debris as possible.

Alaskan Facts:

It is 9:56 pm and I can hear someone cutting grass!  Sun still shinning of course.

Official Alaskan Fact:

Vitus Bering, a Dane working for the Russians, and Alexei Chirikov discovered the Alaskan mainland and the Aleutian Islands in 1741. The tremendous land mass of Alaska—equal to one-fifth of the continental U.S.—was unexplored in 1867 when Secretary of State William Seward arranged for its purchase from the Russians for $7,200,000. The transfer of the territory took place on Oct. 18,
