Adventures With Ruby

Today we broke our traveling rule which is - drive no more than 300 miles and stop before 3:00pm.

We drove from San Angelo, TX to Alamogordo, New Mexico.

The landscape was diverse from farm fields and ranches, to oil fields, to mountains.

We took a detour to a small town I lived in as a child. Brownfield, TX

We traveled the lower route from Plains,TX to Lovington, TX to Artesia, NM.

We saw miles and miles of oil rigs between Lovington to Artesia.

This monument in Artesia is in honor of the oil field workers and pioneers.

Artesia has numberous statues throughout the town.

The landscape changed again as we drove towards Alamogordo.

Beautiful mountains and valleys had awesome views.

Tunnel vision. Haha

It was a enjoyable day.
