Week 17 - March 23 - Trinity Church

Just as our circle began to grow in December and January, our circle is beginning to get smaller within the next few weeks.  As the winter snow gives way to spring flowers and warmer weather up north, we give our hugs and our goodbyes to our fellow MAPER friends.  Three couples left our circle this past week.

Work is winding down but here are a few pictures from this past week..

The Kids Zone classrooms are getting their sheetrock walls.  There are six classrooms plus restrooms.

Joining all the plumbing.

The foyer floors were polished and shined.

All the painted walls, trim and post are looking good.

On Thursday evening, we were treated to a Spaghetti Dinner prepared by Martha and Annabell. I think we are getting spoiled.

Sunday morning pictures...

   Coffee before church.

This Sunday was the wonderful presentation of the play, Jesus of Nazareth.  It was fantastic! And many souls were saved!!

The play opened with the birth of Jesus and the song "Mary Did You Know".

The Kings bearing gifts rode in on horses and of course, a camel.

Jesus riding in on a donkey.

    Jesus crucified.

Resurrection!

Beautiful songs were sung throughout the play.

I have always loved the Easter season; maybe even more than Christmas.  Maybe beause of the Spring flowers; maybe because of the warmer weather, but most importantly because of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Week 16 - March 16 - Trinity Church

Here it is Sunday night and I just realized I had not posted this weeks blog. The project is winding down and this next week we will see several RVers pull out to go home. We will surely miss our wonderful friends.

The men have been working putting up more walls in the Kids Zone area.  Here are pictures of the progress...

Electrical outlets were installed and sheetrock going up in the classrooms. There is a total of six classrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchenette.

 Hallway in kids area.

These panels will be painted bright colors and the walls will have stripes of color.  Something that will coordinate with this adjoining hallway.

Half of the concrete floors in the lobby were stained and sealed this past week.

Work in progress..

Sunday morning... Floor polished and ready. This is LaQueta's picture; a quick photo of Rich Jr.

The painters have been scraping and painting. Here is Jan and Georgie.

Now for some fun pictures...

On Tuesday we celebrated St. Patrick's Day. It was a "Go Green" day.

Tonight we had a little baby shower/party for Dave and Carolina.

We love this sweet couple. Dave is on staff here at Trinity and our "go to guy" for the project.

We were pleasantly surprised by a visit from Pastor Rich.

Annalee sang and danced to "Let It Go". She is going to be a great big sister.

It was a wonderful day.

Sunday morning was a depiction of The Last Supper and communion. Communion is always a very special time but this mornings visual of The Last Supper and Communion was extra meaningful.

Week 15 - March 9 - Trinity Church.

DEMOLITION IS DONE!!

Now the building of more walls can commence.

Nursery area...

Half wall in the toddler section of the nursery.

Walls going up in the Kids Zone area

This is before....

...this week. Wall, walls, walls...

More walls requires more electrical.

Plumbing pipes and more plumbing...Kids area.

Pretty colors for the children!

The paint is looking real good. These are the hallways leading to the Kids area.

Earlier part of the week....

Finished!

I must admit I wasn't too sure about all the colors, but ARLEN and GEORGIE did a great job.

The kids love it!!

BLOG UPDATE. Saturday

Friday more progress was done.

Arlen put the prime coat in the foyers large space...

Glenn put a brace along the plumbing to keep it in place due to the pipe bowing when water flows through.

These pics are dark but the doors and trim were finished for the half wall toddler area.

More walls were erected in the kids zone area. Again dark pics but they were taken after hours.

Also, the electric cables are being run.

On Thursday evening, a very sweet lady, Martha and her daughter, Annabell, cooked for us an Argentina dish.  Yummy, yummy.

The meal is called Arepa. A small biscuit type pastry stuffed with rice and chicken.  Annebell said they can be stuffed with just about anything.

We all enjoyed the evening.  The meal was wonderful and  the weather was perfect.
