Chattanooga Cho Cho
Today we had planned to go to a ZipLine on Lookout Mountain, but since it is a rainy day, we opted for a trip to the famed Chattanooga Cho Cho. As a side note; The Chattanooga Cho Cho song always reminds me of my grandfather, Poppy, who worked on the Santa Fe Railroad. He had a vinyl recording of the song and as a child I loved to listen to it.
Here are a few pictures of the old railroad station that is now shops, restaurants, hotel and museum.
The train boxcars have been converted to hotel rooms. |
The train station itself is an elegant hotel. |
This area is full of Civil War history:
HOW FUN!! I wanna come play!
