MAPS RV Volunteers

Let the adventure begin!! Tomorrow we embark on a journey that we have thought about for awhile as MAPS RV Volunteers. And after many problems with our truck, prayerfully the truck is finally ready to tow our home on wheels.

Our first station of service is Camp Wilderness, Fort Meade, FL. If you read my blog, you can read about our experience with other MAPS RVers. Sometime in life you may not know exactly what The Lord has in store for you, but He puts people in your path to confirm what He had already placed in your heart. This was our experience when we met a wonderful group of MAPS RVers.

We filled out the application, were approved and now we are starting our adventure.

We pray God will lead us in making the right decisions of where to go and where to serve.

Camp Wilderness - week two

The MAPS RVers ask if we could stay a little longer so that Glenn could give a little more manpower. He was helping the volunteer electrician rewire a small building here on the Royal Ranger property. This is a great MAPS team. It has been a pleasure meeting them. We plan to send our application in to become "real" team members. Here are a few pictures of the camp.

Camp Wilderness, Fort Meade, Florida

We are here at Camp Wilderness. An Assembly of God camp for Royal Rangers. My husband has been involved with the RRs for many years. He loves ministering to the boys and fellowship with the other leaders.

My hubby makes "Lodges". Pre 1840 tents for the Frontier Camping Fellowship arm of the RRs.
This coming up weekend he will attend the TRACE that is to be held here at Camp Wilderness.
Following are a few pics of the Lodges he makes.

Also, we met up with a wonderful group of MAPS RVers. An organization of the Assemblies of God that travel around in their RVs and work with building and repairing churches and church campgrounds. We have often talked about joining this organization, so it has been great talking with this group and learning the "ins and outs" of how it all works.
