Going through St. Louis, I did catch a glimpse of the Gateway to the West Arch. We had been to the top several years ago so a stop was not planned. As we passed by, I did get this picture out of the truck window.
We started having trouble with the truck; the dreaded fuel filter problem continues. Going at a snails speed at 25 mph through St. Louis is nerve wracking. Glenn found a truck stop so that he could change the fuel filter. He had bought a few spares and had watched a mechanic change it so he was able to get us going again.
We stopped in IL at Rend Lake for the night. They have several state campgrounds and Corps of Engineers campgrounds on our way. We chose the Corps of Engineers campground and found a great spot. We will keep this one in mind when we go that way again. With the Golden Pass card, we got the spot for half price, $12.00 for full hook-ups!! We drove around the park just to see other camping spots. There were beautiful flowers growing along the drive. This one looks to me like a hibiscus. Sidney, correct me if I'm wrong.

They were just growing wild along the road. |
The butterfly liked them all but landed on the little lavender flower for a quick shot.
Here we are going over the Ohio this morning.
We made it to our daughter's house around 2:30 pm. It sure was good to see everyone. Just sorry our military hero is away for awhile.
GiGi's boy is getting so big.

Everyone plays so well together.
Our Birthday Boy will be 6 tomorrow. |

Fastest way to pick up toys is to just get out the old broom and pile them up.
Makes for quicker pick-up
We plan to have a great time tomorrow for our Birthday Boy.
Wishing Daddy could be with us.
